Timothy Ryan, currently ranked as the top writer on iGO iWRITE, is 48 years old and has worked for the past twenty years as an Olympic Games consultant, taking him to six continents and more than 85 countries. Ryan regularly pens travel stories and posts exotic photos from his journeys in places such as Beijing, the Amazon Rainforest, and the Sierra Nevada.

At 77, June Smith, a retired owner of Roudon-Smith Winery of Santa Cruz, is ranked third, and has created a following due to her stories about Tahiti, saving baby sea turtles in Mexico, and Door Country in Wisconsin.  “I registered for Facebook after learning that iGO iWRITE was collecting travel stories for an upcoming book,” said Smith. “I am happy to have found a warm and supportive family-like writing community.”

Becky Carey, 23, is only a handful of classes away from her degree in fine arts at VCU, and is anxious to “get away and spend some much needed time with myself…and my boyfriend, of course.” She has spent her breaks traveling in England and Scotland, and participated in study abroad programs in Wurzburg, Germany and at the Glasgow School of Art. Recently Carey spent two months backpacking through Paris, Greece, and Italy. “iGO iWRITE was my blog during these trips…it served as my sketchbook, journal, and place for pictures.”
